Temple-Smith to Head Informa’s Fashion Trade ShowsHe will oversee WWDMAGIC, Project, Coterie and the other trade shows.

Mark Temple-Smith has been appointed managing director of Fashion Exhibitions Business at Informa PLC.
Informa purchased UBM earlier this year, adding WWDMAGIC, Project, Coterie and UBM’s other trade shows to its stable.
As a result, Mike Alic has stepped down as managing director to “pursue new interests,” Informa said. Alic had been with UBM and its predecessor companies for 14 years. 
The change in leadership comes as Informa embarks on a previously revealed three–year plan to bring new investments to the fashion brands and improve marketing, content, digital and customer service. Temple-Smith will be charged with executing that plan.
Informa Exhibitions’ chief executive officer Charlie McCurdy said: “We are pleased to have Mark take on this essential role as we focus on rolling out such an initiative so important to the fashion marketplace and dedicating the right resources — management, technology and branding — to supporting our customers’ success.
